CAMBRIDGE city was been placed in Tier 4 of the national Covid alert system along with the rest of Cambridgeshire, starting from 12.01am on Saturday 26 December.
This means that people cannot leave or be outside of the place they are living unless they have a ‘reasonable excuse’ which includes:
- work or volunteering, where people cannot work from home
- essential activities such as to buy food or medicine
- exercise and recreation alone, in a public outdoor place with their household, support bubble or on their own with one other person if maintaining social distancing
