Pilot project of a local market in Trumpington

There has been a great shift to living more local in the past year. This has also be an opportunity for many to give a thought to our food supply chain, and explore the possibility of also shopping more local.

It is with this idea in mind that a few residents and local associations in Trumpington got together to organise a pilot project of local markets in the heart of our community.

The first two iterations have already gone live in Trumpington Meadows, on the square in front of the school. And now it is time for Clay Farm to also get its very own local market.

Saturday 29 May, 10am to 2pm

Hobson Square – Trumpington

On Saturday 29 May, on Hobson Square in front of the Clay Farm Community Centre, from 10am to 2pm. Stalls include local produce, culinary delicatessen, handcrafted products, and a lot more! You can also treat yourself to some Coffee and Crepes, which exceptionally for this event will be served on the square instead of near the Clay Farm Community Garden as usual on Saturdays.

It’s great to see this initiative in Trumpington! If you can get along pleased do – every step helps in our journey towards sustainable, affordable food for all.
